Lessons Learnt: Building a Safer Foundation 2010

This multi-award winning patient safety training programme was founded and led by Dr Maria Ahmed Drake during her Foundation training. Across the North West of England Foundation School, over 2000 Foundation trainees annually reflect, analyse and learn from patient safety incidents in a safe forum, facilitated by trained senior doctor faculty. The programme has been successfully sustained since 2010 and has been published and presented widely. Dr Maria Ahmed Drake retains a role as Senior Faculty Advisor on the programme.
